Welcome to Investment Dominator 2.0! This user guide walks you through the core setup and daily workflow demonstrated in the training session transcript. By following these steps, you’ll understand how to configure your profile, set up your buying and selling business, import records, send prospect neutral letters, and handle responses effectively.
This guide is written in the same clear, step-by-step style as the official Investment Dominator guides, so you can follow along confidently—even if you’re brand new.
Step 1. Getting Oriented in Investment Dominator 2.0
After logging in, you’ll land on the At-a-Glance Dashboard. This page gives you a snapshot of your business, including:
- Your active deal flows
- Tasks and calendar items
- Team members (if applicable)
- KPIs and analytics (some may still be populating during launch)
Helpful navigation tips:
- Click the Investment Dominator logo at any time to return to the homepage.
- Use the Version toggle to switch between Investment Dominator 2.0 and Legacy (some features still live in Legacy).
- If the screen looks small, enable full-screen mode in your browser or meeting platform.
Step 2. Setting Up Your Profile
Your Profile contains your personal information and preferences. This information is internal and not publicly visible, except for your signature image if used on letters.
Profile Basics
- Confirm your name, email, and phone number.
- Do not change your profile email without contacting support—this email is tied to your education, lead purchases, and support tickets.
- Upload a profile picture if desired.
Creating Your Signature
Your signature is automatically pulled into outbound letters.
You can:
- Type your name and select a font
- Draw your signature (touchscreen or mouse)
- Upload an image file
Once saved, this signature will appear on your mailed letters.
Step 3. Notifications & View Preferences
Record Views
Choose how you want to see your properties:
- List View (most popular)
- Card View
You can change this at any time.
Notifications
Investment Dominator includes two built-in websites:
- Buying Site – for landowners requesting offers
- Selling Site – for buyers viewing properties for sale
You can receive notifications when:
- A seller submits a New Offer Request (Buying Site)
- A buyer opts in or inquires through your Selling Site
Notification options include:
- SMS (text message)
- Mobile app push notifications
Step 4. Company Settings: Buying & Selling Sides
Go to Settings → Company to configure your business details. These settings control what appears on letters and websites.
Buying Side Setup
This is the side used to acquire land.
Required items:
- Company name (or your personal name if you don’t have one yet)
- Business address (use a virtual address or PO Box-style address—not your home)
- Business phone number (local numbers are recommended)
- Company or offer email address
Important:
- Avoid using your personal phone number
- You may use one phone line when starting, but separate lines are recommended as you scale
Selling Side Setup
This is the side used to sell properties.
- Company or brand name (can match the buying side)
- Separate phone number for buyer inquiries
- Selling-side email address (can be shared or separate)
Keeping buying and selling communications separate helps avoid confusion.
Step 5. Importing Records (Finding Deals)
To bring leads into your CRM:
- Go to Wizards → Find Deals
- Choose one of two methods:
- Import a CSV file
- Use the built-in data service (credits required)
Using the Data Service
- Select your state and county
- Review available record counts
- Apply filters such as market value and acreage
- Choose how many records to import
Before finalizing, you can:
- Add tags (recommended: county + date)
- Assign records to a deal flow (Prospect Neutral Letter is recommended)
Once imported, records appear immediately in your system.
Step 6. Sending Prospect Neutral Letters
Prospect Neutral Letters are used to contact landowners and ask if they’re interested in selling.
Sending Letters
- Select records (use checkboxes or search by tag)
- Click Actions → Generate Documents
- Choose the Neutral Letter template
- Select a delivery method
Printing Options
- REI Print Mail / Print Vendor: Sends letters directly but may lock your selection if you back out mid-process
- Print Local / Home Printer: Best option for previewing letters before sending
Tip: If you only want to preview a letter, always use Print Local. Third-party print vendors remember previous selections and may reopen large batches unintentionally.
Step 7. Handling Responses & Making Offers
When a landowner responds:
- Ask for their Reference Number or Owner ID
- Search for the record using the dropdown search
- Open the record and select Actions → New Offer Request
You’ll be guided through a step-by-step questionnaire, including:
- Property size and features
- Access, utilities, and improvements
- Ownership duration
- Preferred closing timeline
This information helps you evaluate the deal and prepare an offer.
Step 8. Ongoing Support & Troubleshooting
If something doesn’t behave as expected:
- Log out and log back in
- Try a different browser (Chrome is recommended)
- Submit a Support Ticket with detailed notes
For best results, include a Loom screen recording showing the issue. This allows the support team to quickly diagnose and resolve problems.
Support tickets can be submitted directly from the Help section inside Investment Dominator.
Final Notes & Best Practices
- Always use business contact details on letters
- Tag your records consistently
- Start simple—one phone line and one deal flow is fine
- Preview letters locally before sending bulk mail
- Check state-specific mailing regulations before sending letters
Investment Dominator is designed to grow with you. Focus on getting started, taking action, and refining your process as you go.
You’re now ready to launch your prospect neutral letter campaign with confidence!
