This guide walks you through the core setup process in Investment Dominator, exactly as covered in the live Setup & Q&A session. Completing these steps ensures your system is properly configured so you can confidently send your first mailings, receive calls, and start working deals without errors.
By the end of this guide, you will have:
- Your personal profile configured
- Company details correctly set up
- Phone lines and emails ready
- Buying and selling websites connected to domains
Step 1. Complete Your Profile Settings
The profile section contains your personal information and controls how you log into the system.
Accessing Your Profile
- Log into Investment Dominator.
- Click Profile in the top-right corner.
Personal Details
- Enter your first and last name.
- This name appears on mailed letters, so ensure it’s accurate.
- Upload a profile picture (optional).
- This is internal only and visible to team members, not the public.
Signature Setup
Your signature appears on mailed letters.
- Click Generate Signature to type your name and choose a font, or
- Upload an image of your handwritten signature.
Time Zone
- Set your personal time zone so calendars and timestamps display correctly.
Login Credentials
- Your email/username is used to log in.
- You may update it later to a business email if desired.
- Update your password here if needed.
Primary Phone Number
- Enter your primary phone number for system notifications.
Step 2. Configure Notification Preferences
From the Profile section:
- Navigate to Notifications.
- Choose how you want to be notified for:
- New offer requests
- New marketing prospects
You can enable email, SMS, mobile app, or all options.
Most users enable at least email notifications.
Step 3. Set Up Company Information
Company settings control what appears publicly on your letters and websites.
Access Company Settings
- Go to Settings → Company.
Company Name
- Enter your business name if you have one.
- If you’re brand new, you may operate temporarily as a DBA using your personal name.
While you can start without an LLC, it’s strongly recommended to follow your training program and set one up.
Step 4. Add a Company Mailing Address (Important)
This address is used as the return address on mailings.
Recommended Options
- Office address (if available)
- PO Box
- Virtual mailbox service (highly recommended)
Avoid using your home address, especially if sending large volumes of mail.
Virtual mailbox services scan incoming mail and email it to you, which works well for remote investors.
Step 5. Set Up Company Email
Your company email appears on letters and websites.
Email Options
- A custom domain email (e.g., info@yourcompany.com)
- A free business email (Gmail, Yahoo, etc.)
Both options work. Choose what fits your budget and preference.
Test the email before saving it in the system.
Step 6. Configure Phone Numbers (Critical Step)
Investment Dominator recommends three separate phone lines:
- Company Phone (New Offer Requests)
- Used on neutral letters
- Sellers call here to request an offer
- Offer Phone
- Used only after offers are sent
- Important negotiation calls
- Selling Phone (Cash Line)
- Used when marketing properties for sale
- These calls directly generate revenue
Recommended Setup
- Use a virtual phone system so all lines ring your cell phone.
- Each line serves a different purpose, making calls easy to identify.
Always test all numbers before mailing:
- Call from another phone
- Verify voicemail
- Confirm calls connect properly
Step 7. Company Time Zone & Legal Disclosure
Company Time Zone
- Set the time zone your business operates in.
- This appears on mailed letters.
Licensed Agent/Broker Disclosure
- If you are licensed, enable the disclosure and enter the required text.
- If not licensed, select No.
Some states require disclosures—verify your local regulations before mailing.
Step 8. Buying & Selling Business Settings
Buying Side
- Enter your Buying Company Name
- Confirm offer email and phone number
Selling Side
- Typically uses the same company name
- Enter your selling (cash line) phone number
- Email may be the same as your company email
Step 9. Set Up Your Websites & Domains
Investment Dominator provides two websites:
- Buying Site – where sellers submit properties
- Selling Site – where buyers view properties for sale
The sites exist by default, but you must connect custom domains.
Domain Options
- Buy domains yourself (GoDaddy or another registrar)
- Request domains through Investment Dominator
- Support purchases and links them for you
- Domains remain active while your account is active
If requesting domains through support:
- Confirm domain availability first
- Submit a support ticket with:
- Buying site domain
- Selling site domain
Step 10. Final Checks Before Mailing
Before sending your first letters:
- Confirm mailing address
- Test all phone numbers
- Verify email delivery
- Check website domains load correctly
All of this information is pulled directly into your mailings—accuracy is critical.
