The Investment Dominator comes with integrated buying and selling websites. By default, the URL (web address) of these sites will be something like the following:
www.investmentdominator.com/rei-crm/crm-00000/
Can you imagine putting that address on your letter to an owner? This would definitely NOT convey a professional-looking link.
Therefore, many users register their own custom domains from a domain registrar like Namecheap and then point that domain to their Investment Dominator account. In other words, when someone types in the custom domain you purchased (i.e. www.YourDomain.com), it will send them to your Buying or Selling website.
Configuring your custom domain involves a 2-step process. Please follow the instructions below to configure your Buying and/or Selling website.
Note: The following example uses Namecheap as the domain provider.
Step 1: Register a Domain and Point It to Our Server
First, register the domain you want to use through a domain provider such as Namecheap.
We recommend that you register one domain for your Buying site and another domain for your Selling site. The reason we use two separate domains is that the people going to these two sites are in very different markets and have very different mindsets about real estate, so your domains should reflect the mindset of the visitor.
1. Log in to Namecheap
Log in to your Namecheap account.
2. Open Your Domain List
From the Namecheap dashboard, select Domain List from the left-hand menu.
Find the domain you want to connect to Investment Dominator and click Manage next to the domain.
3. Open Advanced DNS
On the domain management page, click the Advanced DNS tab at the top.
You will see the Host Records section. This is where you will configure the DNS records needed to connect your domain to Investment Dominator.
Note: The Host Records section is available when your domain is using Namecheap’s BasicDNS, PremiumDNS, or FreeDNS. If you do not see this section, your domain may be using third-party nameservers, and you will need to make the DNS changes through your current DNS provider instead.
4. Locate the CNAME Record for www
In the Host Records section, look for an existing record with:
- Type: CNAME Record
- Host: www
If a CNAME record for www already exists, edit that record.
If one does not exist, click Add New Record and select CNAME Record.
5. Point the www CNAME to Investment Dominator
Configure the record as follows:

Do not enter your entire domain name in the Host field. For example, if your domain is www.mylandcompany.com, enter only:

Namecheap automatically adds your domain name to the host record.
6. Save the CNAME Record
Click Save All Changes.
Your www record should now point to:
investmentdominator.com
7. Configure the Root Domain Redirect
Next, configure your root domain (the version without www) to redirect to your www domain.
For example:
mylandcompany.com
should redirect to:
www.mylandcompany.com
In the Host Records section, click Add New Record.
Select:

Configure it as follows:

Replace YourDomain.com with your actual domain name.
The @ symbol represents your root domain in Namecheap.
8. Save the Redirect
Click Save All Changes.
Your DNS setup should now have:

www → investmentdominator.com
URL Redirect (301)
@ → https://www.YourDomain.com
Important: Make sure there are no conflicting A, CNAME, ALIAS, or URL Redirect records using the same host. Conflicting records can prevent your domain from working correctly.
9. Allow Time for DNS Changes
DNS changes may take some time to propagate. Namecheap states that newly created host records generally take around 30 minutes to take effect, although propagation can vary.
Once your domain is pointing correctly, you can move on to Step 2.
Step 2: Map Your Domain to Your App in Investment Dominator
1. Open Your Investment Dominator Account
Log in to your Investment Dominator app and go to:
Settings > Websites
2. Select Buying or Selling
Select the Buying or Selling section, depending on which website you want to connect.
In the Domain section, click:
Actions > Change Your Domain
3. Enter Your Custom Domain
Enter your new domain in the domain field.
Make sure you enter the domain using the www version.
For example:
www.YourDomain.com
Then check the option:
I have pointed my custom domain to investmentdominator.com via a www CNAME record
Click Confirm.
4. Confirm Your Domain
Review the domain information on the confirmation screen and confirm the change.
Your custom domain will now be saved to your Investment Dominator website.
Once the DNS changes have fully propagated, visiting your custom domain should take visitors to your Investment Dominator Buying or Selling website.
Note: If your domain does not work immediately, allow additional time for DNS propagation and then try again.
