Introduction
Before sending your first mailing campaign, you’ll need to configure your Investment Dominator 2.0 account using the Setup Wizard. This one-time setup ensures your business information, contact details, websites, and branding are correctly displayed on your letters and websites.
This guide walks you through every section of the Setup Wizard and explains the recommended settings to help you launch your land investing business successfully.
Accessing the Setup Wizard
When you log into Investment Dominator 2.0 for the first time, you’ll see a welcome message with a Setup button.
To begin:
- Log in to Investment Dominator 2.0.
- Click Setup.
- Complete each section of the Setup Wizard.
Tip: If you cannot log in or your dashboard looks different than expected, contact Support before continuing.
Step 1: Complete Your Profile
The first section configures your personal profile.
Enter Your Name
Your first and last name are used throughout the system and may appear on your marketing letters.
If you ever want to change how your name appears, simply update your profile.
Upload a Profile Picture (Optional)
A profile picture is only used internally.
It is helpful if you have multiple users or team members because it makes assigning tasks and identifying users easier.
If you’re working alone, you can leave this blank.
Profile Email and Phone Number
These fields are for your personal account information.
They are not displayed publicly on your letters or websites.
You can continue using your personal email address and phone number here if desired.
Select Your Time Zone
Choose the time zone where you’re currently located.
This ensures dates and times throughout the system display correctly.
Create Your Signature
Your signature appears on your marketing letters.
You have three options:
- Type your name and choose a signature font.
- Draw your signature.
- Upload an image of your handwritten signature.
You can change your signature anytime from your profile.
Choose How You’ll Use the System
Select whether you’re operating as:
- An individual
- A company
This selection doesn’t change system functionality—it simply identifies how you plan to operate your business.
Step 2: Configure Company Information
Your company information is customer-facing and appears on your websites and marketing materials.
Company Phone Number
A dedicated business phone system is strongly recommended.
Rather than using your personal phone number, consider setting up three business lines.
Recommended Phone Setup
| Phone Line | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Offer Request Line | Receives responses from your initial mail campaigns. |
| Offer Phone | Used on offer letters for negotiations. |
| Cash Line | Used on your selling website for buyer inquiries. |
Many investors use virtual phone services like Quo or RingCentral, allowing multiple business numbers to be managed from a single mobile device.
This setup makes it easier to organize calls and delegate responsibilities as your business grows.
Company Email
Use a dedicated business email whenever possible.
You can either:
- Create a free email account (such as Gmail), or
- Use a professional email connected to your custom domain.
For example:
info@yourcompany.com
Before launching your marketing campaign, send yourself a test email to verify everything is working correctly.
Company Address
Your company address becomes the return address on every letter you send.
Using your home address is possible but generally not recommended.
Instead, consider using:
- A Virtual Mailbox
- A PO Box
Virtual mailbox services can scan incoming mail and send it directly to your email, reducing the need to visit a physical mailbox.
Company Time Zone
Select your company’s operating time zone.
This controls business-hour messaging that appears on your letters and websites.
Step 3: Configure Your Buying Business
The next section configures your acquisitions (buying) business.
Buying Brand
Choose the business name you’d like customers to see.
Your brand doesn’t have to exactly match your website domain, but they should be closely related to maintain consistent branding.
For example:
- ABC Land Buyers
- Midwest Land Solutions
- Smith Land Investments
Buying Website Domain
Investment Dominator includes one free buying website domain.
To register it:
- Enter your desired domain.
- Click Check Availability.
- Select an available domain.
- Click Register Domain.
Once registered, the domain automatically connects to your buying website.
Already Own a Domain?
If you’ve purchased a domain through another registrar (such as GoDaddy), you can connect it by updating your DNS settings.
Refer to the appropriate domain connection guide for step-by-step instructions.
Offer Phone
Enter your negotiation phone number.
This phone number appears only on your offer letters and is used when sellers want to discuss your offer.
Offer Email
You can either:
- Use your primary business email, or
- Create a dedicated email address for offers.
Many users simply reuse their main business email.
Real Estate License Disclosure
If you’re a licensed real estate agent or broker, enable the disclosure option and verify that the provided wording satisfies your legal requirements.
If you’re not licensed, simply select No.
Step 4: Configure Your Selling Business
Next, you’ll configure your property selling business.
Selling Brand
Enter the business name you’d like buyers to see when viewing your property listings.
Like your buying brand, it should closely match your domain and overall branding.
Selling Website Domain
Investment Dominator also includes one free selling website domain.
Repeat the same process used for your buying domain:
- Search for an available domain.
- Register it.
- Allow it to connect automatically to your selling website.
Cash Line
Enter the phone number buyers should call regarding properties you’re selling.
Because these callers are interested in purchasing your properties, this line should be answered by you or someone familiar with your listings.
Sales Email
It’s recommended to create a dedicated email address for buyer inquiries.
Separating buying and selling communications helps keep your business organized.
Step 5: Review Your Setup
Before finishing, carefully review every section.
If anything needs to be changed:
- Click Edit next to the section.
- Make your corrections.
- Continue reviewing.
Once everything looks correct, click Complete Setup.
Your Investment Dominator account is now configured and ready to use.
What to Do After Completing Setup
Once your setup is complete, you’re ready to begin building your business.
Your typical workflow is:
- Generate a target prospect list.
- Download property records.
- Send your first mailing campaign.
- Receive seller responses.
- Research submitted properties.
- Create and send offers.
- Complete due diligence on accepted offers.
- Market the property.
- Close the transaction.
Updating Your Information Later
You can edit your setup information at any time.
Navigate to:
- Profile — Update your name, signature, notification settings, and personal information.
- Settings → Company — Update business phone numbers, address, and email.
- Settings → Selling — Update selling business branding, phone numbers, and sales email.
You’ll also find the Company Notes field under Company Settings.
This controls the text displayed on your website’s Contact Us page. Leaving it blank uses the default message.
Before Sending Your First Mailing Campaign
Before mailing your first batch of letters, verify the following:
- ✓ Your mailing address is correct.
- ✓ Your phone numbers are active and forwarding correctly.
- ✓ Your voicemail has been configured.
- ✓ Your business email is receiving messages.
- ✓ Your buying and selling domains are connected.
- ✓ Your letter and envelope previews display the correct information.
Taking a few minutes to verify these details helps ensure your first mailing campaign runs smoothly and allows sellers to contact you without interruption.
