The Setup Wizard is the first step in configuring your Investment Dominator account. Completing the setup ensures your business information, websites, phone numbers, and branding are properly configured so you can begin marketing to property owners and sending your first mailing campaigns.
By the end of this guide, you’ll have:
- Configured your profile and signature
- Added your company information
- Set up your buying business
- Set up your selling business
- Connected your websites and domains
- Prepared your account for lead generation and direct mail campaigns
Accessing the Setup Wizard
When you first log into Investment Dominator, you’ll see a Setup button on your dashboard.
- Click Setup
- Follow each section of the wizard
- Complete all required fields
- Review your information
- Click Complete Setup
Note: If you no longer see the Setup button and need access to the wizard again, submit a support ticket and our team can help restore it.
Step 1: Complete Your Profile
The first section gathers information about you as the user.
Name
Enter the name you want displayed on your marketing letters.
If you need to change the name that appears on your letters later, you can update it from your profile settings.
Profile Picture (Optional)
You may upload a profile picture, but it is not required.
Your profile picture is for internal use only and is not displayed on:
- Letters
- Websites
- Marketing materials
Email & Phone Number
These are your personal user contact details.
They are used for:
- Notifications
- Account communications
- Team access
These details are not publicly displayed.
Personal Time Zone
Select your local time zone.
This setting affects:
- Tasks
- Reminders
- Calendar-based activities
Marketing Signature
Your signature will appear on marketing letters.
You can:
- Use the built-in signature generator
- Upload an image of your handwritten signature
Your signature is the only profile item that appears on mailed letters.
Business Type
Choose the option that best describes your current situation:
- Individual
- Company/DBA
- Not Sure Yet
This selection does not affect system functionality and can be changed later.
Step 2: Configure Company Information
This section contains the public-facing information used on your letters and websites.
Company Phone Number
We recommend using dedicated business phone numbers rather than personal phone numbers.
Recommended Phone Setup
Investment Dominator recommends using three separate phone lines:

Why Use Separate Phone Numbers?
Separate phone lines allow you to:

Many users utilize virtual phone providers such as business VoIP services to manage multiple lines.
Company Email
This email appears on your marketing materials and websites.
Examples:
You may also use a free email address such as:
- Gmail
- Yahoo
- Outlook
While custom domain emails appear more professional, either option works.
Company Address
This address serves as:
- Your business address
- Your return mailing address
Recommended Options
Instead of using your home address, consider:
- Office address
- PO Box
- Virtual Mailbox
Virtual Mailbox Recommendation
Many users choose a virtual mailbox service because it:
- Provides a physical business address
- Scans incoming mail
- Delivers mail digitally
- Eliminates trips to the post office
Company Time Zone
This is the business time zone displayed on your marketing materials.
Unlike your personal time zone, this setting affects how your business presents itself to prospects.
For example:
- A user living on the West Coast may choose Eastern Time if targeting East Coast sellers.
- Most users simply select their local business time zone.
Step 3: Configure Buying Acquisition Settings
This section sets up your buying business.
Buying Brand
Your buying brand is the name displayed on:
- Letters
- Websites
- Marketing materials
Examples:
- John Buys Land
- ABC Land Buyers
- Smith Property Solutions
Tips for Choosing a Brand
Choose something:
- Easy to remember
- Easy to spell
- Relevant to your business
Avoid:
- Long names
- Complicated spellings
- Unclear branding
Your buying brand can be changed later if needed.
Buying Website Domain
Investment Dominator includes a buying website.
You must choose a domain name for it.
Examples:
- johnbuysland.com
- abcpropertybuyers.com
Registering a Domain
- Enter your desired domain
- Click Check Availability
- Register the domain if available
Already Own a Domain?
You may connect an existing domain to Investment Dominator.
This requires updating your domain’s DNS settings.
If you need help connecting an external domain, submit a support ticket.
Offer Phone Number
Enter your dedicated offer/negotiation line.
This is the number sellers call when:
- Responding to offers
- Negotiating terms
- Discussing property sales
Offer Email
You may use:
- A dedicated offer email
- The same email entered under company information
Either option works.
Real Estate Agent Disclosure
If you are a licensed real estate agent or broker:
- Select Yes
- Review the disclosure language
- Update it if required by your state
If you are not licensed, select No.
Step 4: Configure Selling Disposition Settings
This section configures your property selling business.
Selling Brand
Your selling brand may differ from your buying brand.
Examples:
- John Sells Land
- Premier Land Sales
- ABC Properties
Choose a name that clearly communicates that you sell properties.
Selling Website Domain
Investment Dominator includes a separate selling website.
Examples:
- johnsellsland.com
- premiumlanddeals.com
Keeping buying and selling websites separate helps:
- Maintain professional branding
- Avoid confusing sellers
- Keep acquisition and resale marketing independent
Sales Phone Number
Enter your dedicated sales line.
This number is used when buyers call about properties you are selling.
Sales Email
Use a separate email address for sales inquiries whenever possible.
Example:
Keeping buying and selling communications separate helps maintain organization as your business grows.
Reviewing and Completing Setup
After entering all information:
- Review each section carefully
- Click Edit if changes are needed
- Confirm all information is correct
- Click Complete Setup
Once completed, your Investment Dominator account is ready for use.
What To Do Next
After completing setup, the recommended workflow is:
1. Download Records
Navigate to:
We Search → Find Deals
Generate a targeted prospect list and download records into your account.
2. Send Marketing Letters
Send letters to your prospect list to begin generating seller responses.
3. Research Properties
When sellers respond, perform preliminary property research to determine market value.
4. Send Offers
Use Investment Dominator’s tools to calculate and send purchase offers.
5. Conduct Due Diligence
Once an offer is accepted:
- Verify property information
- Confirm ownership details
- Prepare marketing assets
6. Market and Sell the Property
Advertise your property through your selling website and marketing channels.
Updating Setup Information Later
You do not need to rerun the Setup Wizard to make changes.
